At Connor Wilson Music, students learn through playing—connecting songs they enjoy with the technique, theory, rhythm, ear training, and musical understanding behind them. Private Lessons

Lessons built around the musician you're becoming. Every student comes in with different interests, experience, and goals. Hi! I'm Connor Wilson, a musician and music educator based in the Missoula MT area. My work spans private instruction, group education, live performance, worship music, and session work—but each part of it is built around the same idea: understand the music, prepare well, and serve what you're there to do.

MY STORY: A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO MUSIC

I've spent years making music in a range of settings—from jam sessions and worship teams to larger stages, teaching studios, classrooms, and collaborative projects.Along the way, I've become increasingly interested not only in what makes good music, but why it works. That curiosity has shaped the way I approach both playing and teaching: connect the theory to something you can hear, connect technique to something you can play, and prepare well enough to contribute confidently when it's time to make music with other people.Connor Wilson Music grew out of that approach—a place for practical music education, thoughtful musicianship, and creative collaboration.

Working Philosophy

SERVE THE SONGGood session work isn't about fitting the most notes into a track, or insisting that my musical ideas are better than anyone else's. It's about respecting the vision, listening to what the music needs, understanding your role, and delivering a part that strengthens the song. I strive to approach each project with preparation, communication, and attention to the details that make an arrangement work.
